CARTA has faced extensive challenges since its inception two decades ago. However, with new leadership, the system is out of debt, updating its fleet, and adding amenities like WiFi and news shelters. BGRM has helped tell that story to the community—from guiding successful service and technology launches to managing reputation and advocating for public transit in the Lowcountry.
We designed CARTA’s new website with the primary user in mind: riders waiting at bus stops using their phones. The responsive site offers real-time service updates, live chat integration, and online pass purchase options.
For CARTA, social media continues to be an effective channel to reach and engage current and potential riders as we seek to showcase, communicate, and advocate for the system and its services.
We created a three-part video series to showcase how CARTA connects the Lowcountry. The series helped position CARTA not only as efficient and modern, but also an important part of many residents’ daily lives.
Whether it’s announcing new ride-along features or highlighting new amenities, our media relations team interacts with editors, reporters, and bloggers on CARTA’s behalf nearly every day. Last year, that translated to $721,000 in publicity value.
